Rosemont settles for $2.5 million for more decorative street lighting

On Monday, village council members approved the next phase of a five-year plan to install new and modern street lighting in Rosemont.
The trustees agree to hire Utility Dynamics to install approximately 120 decorative LEDs on Mannheim Road from Bryn Mawr Boulevard south to Foster Boulevard, Riverway east to the end of Bryn Mawr at the Des Plaines River and north of the I-90 flyover street light.
According to Mark Wrzeskcz, a rural engineer, work on the project will begin in May or June and be completed by the end of the year.
For the past five years, Rosemont has been replacing outdated street lights with new decorative lampposts. The work was carried out both in residential and commercial premises. Light poles are provided with fixtures for placing informational banners.
